Getting Started
Initial Contact
If you are interested in therapy or other services offered, please complete the form in the Contact Me section. Once this information is provided, I will contact you via phone for an initial discussion. If your inquiry is for individual therapy, we will complete a 15-20 minute phone screen to make sure that we are a good therapeutic fit for each other before scheduling an initial virtual assessment meeting.
First Sessions
I will spend the first two sessions gathering relevant information about you and some of the reasons bringing you to therapy. Each session is between 50-60 minutes and will primarily focus on background and presenting challenges. We will identify specific treatment goals to target in therapy throughout these sessions and collaboratively create a working treatment plan. It is important to know that treatment plans are always dynamic and flexible, and we can adjust the goals and focus as needed.
Ongoing Sessions
After the first two intake sessions, we will typically meet for either 45 or 55 minutes depending on your presenting concerns. As a strong therapeutic relationship is the main foundation for the work, we will meet weekly for a portion of time to develop momentum and connection. We can discuss adjustments to the session length and frequency as your symptoms improve or if new challenges emerge. When we make a decision to work together, we will identify an individual therapy appointment time for you that will be exclusively yours for the duration of our work together, barring rescheduling or a need for an appointment time change.
